Feeling The Love

 Ahh, February, 

Charles felt the turkeys needed a concert. They seemed to enjoy it.

On Valentine's day, Teddy and I volunteered at our library's read-in handing out treats.

   I always get the kids a box of chocolate for Valentine's Day. Teddy shared his with the carpet, but luckily I was able to get it cleaned up.

As you can see, Teddy likes chocolate.

We had a paint night.

Teddy loves hiding, especially under Daniel's pillow.

Daniel threw me a Valentine's dance.

Making that backdrop was a pain, but it came out so good. We only had one other couple show up, but we had a blast. Henry had fun at the library building with Lego.

Emily's home.

Charles's contraption rotated and was so fun. I made a throne room, but a little girl liked it so I gave it to her to build with. It was a fun afternoon. I love the library!

Off to State

 

They had a police and firetruck escort out of town. It was fun. They got to warm up at a jujitsu place in Tacoma.

   Our school did really well, one 2nd, two 4ths, and one 5th place. The girls did much better than the boys. It's interesting that they let more boys go to State than girls. All our qualifiers were 4th place-ers for our boys, but they only took the first three for the girls. I feel Lizzy got gipped, but what can you do.

      She had a good time and the girl who won in her weight class was one from our region. Lizzy knew she was really good, she wrestled her a few times but was never pinned, so that's incredible. Lizzy is already gearing up for next season. Go Wolves!

Regionals!

 Lizzy did awesome at regionals taking 4th! She qualified as an alternate for State wrestling. I got to go cheer her on at regionals, watching her is so stressful, I get so nervous watching her get wrenched around the mat. She is really good at it though. 

My drive was into the sun both ways. It was pretty though.

Regionals were held in this tiny town called Warden. It is smaller than Goldendale but has a huge church building for our church.

During her breaks, she came and chatted with me and a sweet lady who was cheering for her granddaughter. 

 She didn't win this last match so she was sort of apologizing to her coach here. She was not expected to win this match, so she didn't feel too bad. And she didn't get pinned. She really worked her opponent. Here's our crew:
