The Parks and Recreation Department had a Touch a Truck event. The kids had fun climbing all over the vehicles.
Emily had her 5th-grade concert, and it was Minecraft themed. Emily decorated a grass cube for the decorations.
We had a fun time at Colonial Gardens celebrating the season.
Emily was part of a bell choir for our primary program. I got to see them practice. She was very diligent in playing her part. Teddy refused to participate, but Emily and Henry did great.
We had the sister missionaries over for dinner, and I served them stuffed pumpkin and introduced them to TimTams and the TimTam Slam.
They really enjoyed them. I love introducing people to fun new things.
Daniel and I went back to the faire to enjoy a bit by ourselves. Google took us, along with a large group of others, to the Queen's entrance, which serves as the overflow area, so it was a bit chaotic. The workers quickly sent one lady out to corral us. As it was the last weekend of the faire, there was a huge turnout, and it was Halloween themed, so there were more costumes than usual. I spied a Batman in the line.
We made friends with a young couple and their little boy in line. We ran into them a few times after entering. That was fun. We wandered a bit and then sat for an aerial show. They were from a school in Lee Summit.
They were fun to watch. I got a few shots of some fun costumes.
We stopped when Daniel noticed that this performer looked like Doungeon Crawler Carl. I asked her where Doughnut was, and she got so excited and pulled her partner over. We gushed for a bit as we were the first people to figure out who they were. Danel remarked later how we always find a connection to Doungeon Crawler Carl when we are out together.
I tried to get a picture of us with the dragon, but just as we got to it, it started breathing smoke. We were completely obscured for a bit. It was so funny.
This year, we were able to go to the fair with both the Blacks and Floyd and Heather joining us.

We stopped to talk to some coin makers. They were fun. Grace traded a trinket for a coin, and Lizzy bought one.
Then we learned about King Henry VIII's wives from the appocathery. She focused on their childbearing. It was interesting, and she was quite delightful.

This sweet fawn was ecstatic to be asked for her picture. She was radiant. Emily and Henry tried their hand at swordplay. Henry kept hitting the poor man's shins, but to be fair, that's what he could reach the best.

The sweet girl who gave us water also gave us some ice for free. Teddy found this fun-shaped piece.
After a bit, we got some lunch, hot dogs for the kids, a loaded potato for Daniel, and some bangers and mash for me. We found some benches in the sun and waited for the joust to begin. I found the Blacks across the way, but they decided to stay there. Heather and Floyd found a seat in the shade. Which was a better idea. I was quite faint after our hour in the heat. Teddy didn't want to eat his hot dog, and Daniel figured out a solution. He helped Teddy put his hot dog on his wand, and he happily ate it after that.
These lovely ladies told us all about lady spies in France.

Henry met a friend and they had a sword fight, until a worker told them that the King had stated that there was to be no fighting on the stage. They quickly moved off.
We left soon after, as the kids were tired. Teddy had a great time. Next year, I should make him a jester outfit. He had a knack for making jests.
