Mother's Day

I was asked to teach all the women 12 and up for Mother's Day. I was told they would have about 25-30 mins since they were going to do counseling and a treat. I dutifully prepared. Sacrament barely touched on mothers, my lesson had a little, but it was based on Sister Johnson's talk, so not really. I understand that Mother's Day is a touchy subject, so I wanted to be cognizant of that in my lesson.

They decided to pass out the treat as the women came in, oh! And they changed rooms on me, we were in the primary room, so that threw me a bit, I moved a table and went to sacrament meeting. When I came in after, the table had been moved again and dressed up with fresh lilacs that I had to move because they were messing with me. I never had allergies before, but I'm allergic to whatever this side of MO has. Anyway, there was no counseling; they just turned it over to me. I had to pivot a bit, but I think it went well. I ended up sharing a few things I hadn't planned on, and of course, I cried. I forgot to pass out the chocolate I had brought until the end of the lesson. Lizzy drew a picture of me teaching.

The Ward got us roses, too. Lizzy looked like a flower seller.

I had my customary post-church headache; those are new as well in the last few years. I had decided on steak for dinner, but that was new for Daniel, so it was a little trial and error, but it worked out. All in all, it was a Sunday like any other, so that's fine. I hope you had a Happy Mother's Day!

Lizzy Turns 17

Lizzy decided she wanted to have a tea party for her birthday. She only wanted to invite five friends, and she had a long list of food...
