Packard's Pumpkin Patch

Every year I look for a good place to get our pumpkins. This year I chose Packard's Farm in Hood River. We wanted to pick up some apples for cider as well and Hood River boasts the Fruit Loop (several orchards and farms). We had sampled Packard's farm's wares in the past, they set up a booth at the Vancouver and Portland farmer's markets. I love their empanadas! So it was fun to visit the actual farm, plus you set up your time online! Bonus!!! It was a drizzly afternoon when we got there, but that didn't dampen our spirits!

They make fresh pumpkin doughnuts!

These rolling things were wild!

Lizzy had to conquer everything!

Charles snuck in the barrel.

The maze had a who dun it puzzle and I only saw three markers for it. Lizzy and Devon were diligent though and found them all. Daniel got them too.

It was a fun afternoon, we didn't find many apples though, which was surprising. I ended up just ordering a few boxes through the middle school. The 5th grade does a fundraiser each year, but they don't advertise it well. We stopped at 3 farms including the Fruit Company, they had just renovated their store front so they didn't have much out. I did get a peach huckleberry pie for the pie ward activity so that was a win!
