Learning New Things

The middle school had a multicultural night, and the library had an owl night. Both were very fun. If you visited all the booths, you could pick a coin from a different country.

The birds were all injured by cars. So they can't be released back into the wild.

Preparing for Easter

The stake put on a Walk with Jesus. They worked really hard on it, but unfortunately, they scented the rooms so I couldn't go inside them. The kids collected little charms from each room.

My FoE friend came for lunch, she was down visiting friends, and I'm so glad I got to chat with her a bit.

Part of the reason she was here was for the 20th anniversary of Pride and Prejudice reshowing in the theaters. I took Lizzy and Charles to see it.

They have been talking of Mr Darcy ever since. Then we went to the egg hunt.

Lizzy drew a rabbit.

Teddy only picked up a few eggs before he decided he was done.

They took quite a haul, and then we had some yummy tacos from the taco truck. Easter Sunday came with some fun surprises. The best part was that Daniel was able to stay home with us. We went to church with Ron, which was fun, and then he came over for lunch and was accosted by the kids.

We dyed eggs.

It was a lovely day. On Monday, we went to see King of Kings.

Yuri's Night and Prom Part 1

Yuri's Night brought some challenges, but I prepared by getting all the space essentials.

Then I got the kids working on some space crafts.

Lizzy was invited to go to a "Mormon Prom" in Columbia with her cousins. She was keen to go, so I dropped her off on Saturday, and then we all came after church on Sunday to celebrate the Passover with them. Except for Daniel, who is the the throughs of an outage and working 12s. The group went mini-golfing before the dance.

The Theme was Tangled.

I heard a good time was had by all. On the way back home caught a glimpse a kite festival.

Teddy got picked up by his ears.

The program included scriptures and songs, and it was really beautiful.

The Sedar was lovely, though of course my kids ate the paper bones. Denise had made a wonderful meal. The kids asked for seconds!

Something Spooky This Way Comes

We started October with a trip to Home Depot. The kids made witch boxes. Charles used the extra pieces to make an homage to Darkwing Du...
