Grandma Murphy's Funeral

The actual funeral was in California, but it was being streamed, so I watched from home. Daniel started to watch with me, but the audio was screechy and delayed in parts and it was giving him a headache so he went upstairs. After a bit, Devon came down and asked why Emily was crying. I said probably because Grandma died, that's why I was crying. I finished out the service and then went to investigate. Emily was curled up in a ball on her floor whimpering. When I finally got her up it was apparent that she had choked herself pretty badly. Apparently, she was standing on the couch being a captain of a ship and thought that wrapping the window blind cord around her neck would look dashing. She then forgot that she had done that and proceeded to jump off the couch only to be held in check by the cord. She finally got herself untangled, but she was traumatized by the experience and ran to her room. Neither Daniel nor I was aware of any of this. He was in the garage working on something. The poor thing. I got her taken care of and she was soon in better spirits. I sent an email to her teacher about the incident and hoped no real damage had been done.

The following pictures have been shamelessly stolen from other family members who were at the funeral.
