Lizzy!

So my little girl is now 6, or as the lady at the American Girl Doll store told us, " She is 2 hands now!" She has had an amazing year at school and is so excited to be a first grader. She won this award for participating in reader Olympics. Her class out read the entire school!
So to celebrate her new year, we planed a party going to the American Girl Doll store for dinner and taking 3 Generation photos with Grandma Gutierrez while we were there. So Lizzy and I went looking for pink shirts and we found Olaf!

Lizzy went on a field trip with her class to the Oregon Children's museum and then had cupcakes. Later on we went to her school for the farewell party. They did their first cake walk.

Then it was Off to Lynnwood, my old stomping grounds!
Sorry this is sideways.

We played around before having dinner at the American Girl store. It was Fun, but the service was SLOW. There were 2 other groups dining so there was no good reason for the slow service. We had fun though it was a long day for everyone.

This is the outfit I got for Lizzy's doll.

Fire House Days

Our Fire house has an event each June that as they say, "The Fire District 6 Open House takes place on the first Saturday of June each year. Featuring automobile extrication demonstrations, Clark County Sheriff's Office K-9 shows, a Life Flight helicopter landing, the fire escape smoke house (a mobile structure in which we teach children to practice escaping from their own home as if it were filled with smoke or on fire), free food, low cost bicycle helmets, fire engines (new and old), and more. It is a community event you don't want to miss." And I for  one Did not want to miss it!  So away we went! It was so fun! We got Charles a helmet and had lunch and saw the life flight helicopter take off.
All in all it was a great day!

Paradise

Sometimes I fell like I live in paradise. Especially when the flowers are blooming! I am not much of a gardener, but we have a plethora of low maintenance flowers and shrubs. Even our high maintenance plants have been very kind to  me.
